Annoy- thanks for the rorsharch insight. I didn't know it till I searched it after your suggestion. Any stepping on your turf is purely intentional and has everything to do with the intrinsic appeal of the turf. You have to admit, though, that this matrix applies to a lot of things outside work as well.

Toddler- I know this post is slightly more picturesque than my other posts but hopefully still in line with the equity. And don't be so modest since all the people who belong to lower left quadrant are already dead. That is called survival of the fittest. If you are alive and surviving, that means something is working for you still.

Always aim to edify, so most welcome :) Sorry abt the sp. error.

Liked the matrix & yep that's what i meant, like the abstracts, it can be applied to multiple scenarios. It would be more interesting if you'd plotted it showing your position on quadrants for issues like work, blogging, life etc. Am curious. Do put in a "me" dot in there. Or allow certain privileged guest bloggers the liberty. what fun if possible. as always, you've made it worthy of a series. still cackling over how u cudn't keep the morbidity out - aka the noose.

And thanks for wot am sure was an unintentional compliment in your turf response. As for the rest, hoist by me own petard...yikes! Why do guys hv to get competitive abt everything..bane of my life.
Also, u seem to hv scared off the unknown malay reader from mine - curses!!

Beta - thanks for the lovely response. Yes, this post is very much in line with the equity; in fact, your articles are no run-of-the-mill stuff, which is precisely the reason I keep coming back to your blog. And I wasn’t being modest; I was in a playful mood when I posted that comment. As a matter of fact, the upper-right quadrant strongly resonates with my life, sadly :(

As for the Darwin theory, most of the people believe that in order to survive in the cruel corporate world, you have to adhere to the "kill or be killed" theory. However, I believe in the innate power of the human emotions that help you connect with each other, leading to a more meaningful life. In a nutshell, I am surviving on the altruistic traits :)

And thanks guys for the new piece of information. I took the Rorsharch test and still trying to recover from the (ror)shock. The results convinced me that the test itself is sick. i dont know how they gauge ur personality on the basis of a few images. its impossible. Why don’t you read yourself.

Test Results
Sickness Quotient: 81%
Your Sickness Quotient of 81% is definitely something to worry about.

Detailed Diagnosis
• Interpersonal Insights
You think everyone is out to get you, and you're absolutely right. It's because you're an awful person without any redeeming qualities. You never give up and refuse to settle for less than the best. In other words, you're impossible to please and you never shutup.
• Job Performance & Attitude
You have little empathy for anyone more successful at work than you, which is pretty much everyone. Your work is of such poor quality that your manager is considering replacing you with a machine that flushes.
• Personality Insight
Your personal motto is "It's better to ask forgiveness than permission." And you would certainly know.

And you know what, when I took the test again, the sickness quotient reduced to 52%. arrgghhhh!!!!

I need to lie down.

You seem to have taken some weird test or been a victim of some online joke because this doesnt sound like the original test at all. Just by looking at the description of this technique, I am not even sure if this test can be administered online; it likely needs to be administered by an expert therapist.

Correct! It was a junk test. Even my research and a psychiatrist friend confirmed that rorsharch is the most commonly used tool to assess a person’s mental health and the test can take several hours to complete and interpret. I took the online test to find out what I visualise out of those weird inkblot images and as you know, I fell prey to the ludicrous web site.

:) This seems to hv sparked off quite a quest. Meanwhile, glad you folks realized it mustn't be taken seriously. am no expert, but rorshach is famous more historically than anything else- textbooks mention it for the same reason. Accdg to me it's also the most commonly spoofed test.. :-) Do tread with caution when it comes to anything that's freudian and from those of his ilk or school of thought.. :)

One thing is for sure, only the analysis of the inkblots cannot not be adequate, the treatment requires more specific objective types of personality description.
